Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week
Pay Rate: $3,000 – $3,200 per week
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Mission Viejo, CA. The ideal candidate will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and procedural efficiency in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements
- Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and sterile field
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic data during procedures
- Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Administer contrast media and medications as directed (per scope of practice)
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning
- Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac events
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Follow infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
- Active ARRT (R) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
- California state licensure (if applicable)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS certification preferred/required per facility
- Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures, hemodynamics, and imaging equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
