Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Chemo Certified Oncology RN to provide exceptional patient care in an inpatient oncology setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in IV administration and treatment protocols related to chemotherapy. This role is crucial in delivering comprehensive support to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy and manage related side effects.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and overall health status during treatments.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Cerner).
- Provide patient/family education and support regarding treatment plans and expectations.
- Manage IV access and care for central lines and ports.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in oncology nursing.
- Chemo/Bio Certification (ONS/ONCC) required.
- Active RN License in West Virginia or a Compact License.
- BLS Certification is required.
