A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides medical disability examinations and evaluations primarily for traumatic brain injury and general medicine cases. This role involves interview-based assessments and physical testing such as range of motion and muscle strength without prescribing treatment. The position supports the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on a PRN basis, requiring board certification and proficiency in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and respiratory evaluations.
Location: A city located in southern New Jersey. It is known for its rich agricultural history and its role as a center for the production of fruits and vegetables, especially in the wine industry. Approximately 40 miles south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and approximately 30 miles from the Jersey Shore.

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- No call or weekends!
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider's portal and records are reviewed.
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis.
