We are actively searching for dedicated General Medicine providers to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments (SHAs) for Veterans across the country. What You'll Do: Conduct comprehensive C&P exams and SHAs for Veterans, primarily focusing on an interview-based approach with some physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing). Analyze medical records and complete standardized forms within the VES provider portal. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate assessments and timely reporting. Complete follow-up administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic reviews as required. Who You Are: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and board certification in General Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or a related specialty (or board eligibility) (preferred). Current and active license to practice medicine in Iowa (required). Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions (required). Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Comfort and experience with interview-based assessments (preferred). Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with Veterans. Access to a personal laptop (excluding MACs).
