American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens/level 1 trauma background for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a radiology CT scanner department at a level 1 trauma center
- Operate Siemens CT equipment including Power Injector, Laser Printer, and patient monitoring devices
- Shift is 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM and includes weekends
- Rotates among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
- Patient population includes those requiring trauma-level imaging
- EMR used is Epic and experience with it is required
- Floating to other radiology clinics and offsite locations may be required
- Primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic CT exams, patient preparation, venipuncture for contrast, and contrast administration under a radiologist’s direction
- Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, stocking supplies, and participating in quality assurance and improvement projects
- Instruction and supervision of technologist students may be required
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
- Parking at Boston-area locations is not validated and requires use of public options
- May be required to work offsite or provide shift coverage/overtime as needed
- Use of independent judgment under pressure is required
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT technologist, with 2–3 years preferred
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license required; MA conditional licenses not accepted
- Registered in CT by ARRT or equivalent and must maintain ARRT CT certification
- BLS certification required (AHA accepted/preferred, Red Cross or Military accepted as noted)
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment and level 1 trauma cases required
- Graduation from an approved school of radiologic technology
- License required if applicable
- Strong interpersonal skills to support patients under stress
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, imaging processes, and CT procedures
