Telehealth registered nurse providing specialized stroke care and protocol-driven assessments via a telemedicine platform for patients across multiple hospitals. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, maintains patient confidentiality, documents data, and ensures evidence-based practices across the continuum of stroke care. Requires RN licensure, acute neurology/ED or med-surg experience, BLS, NIHSS and eventual SCRN certification, and multi-state licensure within six months.

Overview:

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program. Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Education: BSN preferred.
Experience: 2 years recent experience in Direct patient care experience of Neurology patients in an acute care setting, Adult Med/Surg, or Emergency Department experience required.
Licensure: State Licensure in the state of practice, current RN Temporary Permit/RN. Multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire.-
Certifications: BLS, NIHSS certification upon one month of hire, and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) within 3 years of hire required.
Other: Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Must have the ability to independently practice and prioritize demands in an ever-changing, dynamic environment. Must demonstrate understanding of pathophysiology and rationale of special therapies of the stroke patient.
