Locum Tenens Cardiovascular Surgery Opportunity Near Nacogdoches, TX (ASAP - Ongoing) We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity near Nacogdoches, TX. This position offers 24-hour on-call coverage across multiple facilities, providing both emergency and referred elective cases. The role is ideal for surgeons seeking a flexible locum schedule while delivering high-quality surgical care in a supportive environment. Assignment Details: Shift Type: 24-Hour Call Coverage Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing Weekend Requirements: Yes On-Call Requirements: Yes Setting: Primarily inpatient surgical coverage for emergency department and referred elective cases Patients per Day: 10-15 (primarily inpatient) Duties: Provide comprehensive CV Surgical coverage for both emergency and elective cases. Collaborate with support staff and utilize typical clinic and hospital resources to provide the best patient care. Requirements: Board Certification: Required in Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery: Required BLS and ACLS Certification: Required (can be completed on-site if necessary) State License: Highly preferred, but open to candidates with an IMLC license with LOQ in hand. Malpractice: Required EMR Systems: Clinic Setting: Cerner McKesson Cardiology Hospital Setting: Paragon & CHS Proprietary EMR Why This Opportunity? Flexible Schedule: Full-time equivalent (FTE) coverage is sought, but the schedule can be split among multiple surgeons. Support Staff: Robust clinic and hospital resources ensure that the surgeon has access to typical support systems.
