Location: Hobbs, NM (Confidential Facility) Rate: $2,100 / 24-Hour Shift

Seeking a Board Certified/Eligible General Surgeon for recurring monthly call coverage at a stroke-certified community hospital in Southeast New Mexico. This is a low-volume, call-only assignment with no clinic or rounding responsibilities.

• Pay: $2,100 per day.

• Schedule: 7 10 days per month (7:00 AM 7:00 AM).

• Scope: 24-hour beeper call. No daily rounding or outpatient clinic.

• Volume: Low intensity; approximately 6 patients per shift.

• Setting: Inpatient, non-trauma designated facility.

• EMR: Epic.

• Licensure: Active New Mexico State License & DEA (Required to bid).

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency).

• Certifications: BLS required.

• Skills: Proficiency in Adult General Surgery, Appendectomy, and GI Endoscopy (Upper/Lower). Sigmoidoscopy/Colonoscopy preferred.

• Response Time: Must remain within minutes of the facility while on call.

This is a stroke-certified, community-based inpatient setting. It is not a trauma center (Level 0), making it ideal for a provider seeking a manageable pace without the overhead of resident supervision or heavy trauma volume.
