This role is for a Critical Care/Trauma Physician providing direct care to critically ill ICU patients in a high-acuity hospital environment. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Critical Care Medicine with relevant licenses and certifications, and the role includes support such as malpractice coverage and travel accommodations.

Please ask about our generous referral fees!• Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing need• Providers Requested (FTE): 2• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (days or nights)• Shift times may vary slightly based on staffing needs and ICU census• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)• Patients per day: Up to 30

Practice Environment:• High-acuity ICU providing continuous monitoring and advanced life support• Equipped with ventilators, invasive monitoring, infusion pumps, and continuous telemetry• Multidisciplinary care team including intensivists, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, APPs, and consulting specialties• Strong focus on quality, patient safety, and evidence-based ICU protocols• Emergency-ready environment managing sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma, and cardiac events

Core Responsibilities:• Provide direct care for critically ill and unstable ICU patients• Lead daily multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care plans• Perform and supervise ICU procedures• Participate in rapid response and Code Blue teams• Communicate effectively with patients' families and referring physicians• Ensure compliance with ICU quality, safety, and infection-control standards

Required Procedures:• Endotracheal intubation• Tracheostomy (bedside or surgical assist)• Bronchoscopy• Central venous catheter and arterial line placement• Pulmonary artery catheter placement (as needed)• Cardioversion and temporary pacemaker placement• Ultrasound-guided procedures• Thoracentesis and chest tube placement• Paracentesis• Nasogastric tube placement and PEG tube management

Support & Infrastructure:• Critical care nursing staff• Respiratory therapists• Advanced Practice Providers• Unit clerks and administrative staff• Social workers and case managers• EMR: Cerner

Candidate Requirements:• Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine (Board Eligible considered)• Active Arizona license or active IMLC - Required• ACLS, BLS, and DEA - Required
