Job Description
American Traveler seeks an ARRT-registered CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment working weekend day shifts with experience in advanced CT procedures and the ability to start with pending VA licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital CT department with 3 procedure rooms
- Handles a high-volume environment with approximately 130 visits per day
- Weekend day shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Uses GE and Siemens CT scanners and PACS imaging system
- EPIC EMR is used; prior experience preferred but not strictly required
- Procedures include CT abdomen, pelvis, chest, head (with/without contrast), brain perfusion, multiplanar reconstruction, vascular CTA, cervical, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, and thoracic imaging
- Must be able to start peripheral IVs
- Responsibilities include advanced CT imaging and trauma studies across a high-acuity patient population
- Team structure includes support from staff radiologists and nursing for IV starts and contrast protocols
- Mandatory online Epic EMR training is required unless recent Epic experience is documented
- Scrub color required is grey
- Must be prepared to float if necessary according to hospital policy
- Expectations include working some holidays as part of the scheduled shift
- Religious or medical exemptions for flu and COVID vaccines must comply with CMS guidelines
- Time off requests must be submitted upfront and are approved at manager discretion
- Candidates who were previously employed must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- License required if applicable
Requirements
- Current ARRT registration as a CT Technologist required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum two years of CT technologist experience required
- VA license required or proof of active application and current license from another state
- Experience with GE or Siemens CT scanners and PACS required
- Prior experience with specified advanced CT procedures required
- Epic EMR experience preferred; Epic online class will be assigned on day one
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1st to Mar 31st)
- COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
- Smoke and nicotine-free workplace
- First-time travelers are welcome
