Hospital Unit: Physical Therapist Patient Care Setting: Primarily outpatient physical therapy, with occasional inpatient coverage for acute care and swing bed (rehab) settings. Outpatient experience is preferred. Shift and Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday. 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (per New York State labor law). Occasionally scheduled Saturday coverage. Patient Population and Case Types: General Outpatient: o Pre- or post-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, acute orthopedic injuries). o Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, chronic pain, balance issues). o Neurological conditions (e.g., CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s Disease). o Sports-related injuries. Inpatient (occasional): o Acute care and swing bed rehabilitation cases. Specializations: No specific specialty required. Case Volume: 15 patient slots per 8-hour day (30 minutes each). 1-hour slots allotted for new patient evaluations. Technology and Treatment Modalities: EMR System: Epic (workstations on wheels available for point-of-service documentation). Treatment Modalities: o Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Saunder’s mechanical traction, paraffin therapy. o Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and upper body ergometers (UBE). Interview Process: Preferred: Zoom interviews. Alternate: Phone interviews available. Every effort will be made to expedite the process Certifications Required: Active New York State Physical Therapy License. Current BLS certification. Preferred Experience: Outpatient physical therapy experience.
