American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery travel position in California requiring an active CA RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- 13-week travel assignment
- Provides care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods
- Provide direct nursing care and oversee all aspects of patient assessment, planning, and evaluation for mothers and newborns
- Coordinate and guide patient and family education as well as the activities of other nursing personnel
- Must be able to quickly respond to changes in patient condition and ensure a safe environment
- Local and travel candidates are both accepted for this position
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
- Completion of DCI/BVP training (Relias or similar accepted)
