Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Surgery/Operating Room position requiring an active IA or compact license and current BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Surgery/Operating Room unit of an acute care hospital
- Scheduled for 36–40 hours per week with shifts from 09:00–18:30 or other department needs
- Work may include shifts of 06:00–18:30 or 08:00–18:30 as determined by departmental requirements
- Weeknight call required approximately every 1–2 weeks
- Weekend call required approximately every 4–5th weekend
- 30-minute response time required for all call shifts
- Holiday rotation is included
- Must participate in holiday coverage rotation as scheduled
- Orientation and shifts may be flexed to accommodate department needs
- Direct patient care responsibilities in the operating room setting
- No local pay rates specified for this position outside designated states
Requirements
- Active IA or compact RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- License verification dated within 30 days of start via Nursys or state board
- No minimum years of experience required
