Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. This post requires both driving and armed responsibilities. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal-teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in every situation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
• Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and local law enforcement as required for security-related matters.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while carrying out assigned duties in various working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
