Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: 50-55/Hr
About the Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement automated data pipelines that consolidate data from multiple sources into a centralized repository. This role ensures that reporting and analytics teams have reliable, accessible data for building dashboards and insights. You will leverage automation tools, scripting, and integration technologies to streamline data ingestion and transformation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automated workflows and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
- Utilize tools like Power Automate to orchestrate data movement and integration.
- Ensure data is clean, structured, and optimized for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with BI developers to understand data requirements and ensure accessibility.
- Document processes and recommend improvements for scalability and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in data engineering and ETL processes.
- Hands-on expertise with Power Automate and familiarity with Power Apps.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration points.
- Understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
- Familiarity with Power BI and data visualization concepts.
- Background in proof-of-concept or pilot project environments.
