The position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at a Level 1 trauma center with a burn unit in Richmond, VA, offering 6-month contract assignments with flexible shift options. The clinical setting involves collaboration with MDs and CRNAs to provide anesthesia care for patients aged 12 and older, excluding OB, pediatric, and cardiac cases. The role requires board certification, ACLS and BLS, credentialing within 45-90 days, and working with the Epic EMR system in an academic hospital environment.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (45-90 days)
Contract Length: 6-month contracts preferred, but can be negotiated
Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week (3x12s or 4x10s preferred) No Call
Clinical Details
Setting: Level 1 trauma center with a burn unit
Supervision Model: Collaborative team with MDs & CRNAs
Patient Population: Ages 12+
Procedures: General (bread & butter), trauma, endo
Excluded Cases: No OB, no peds, no cardiac
EMR: Epic
Additional Details:
Practice Setting: Academic/Training Hospital
Case Load: 100 cases per day
Credentialing Timeframe: 45-90 days (no temps or emergency privileges available)
Requirements: Board Certified, ACLS & BLS
Licensing: Willing to wait for a license (credentialing cannot start until license is issued)
Malpractice & travel covered
