Opportunity:
RN - PCU Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float to all PCU/Tele units within the hospital facility
• Required to float between PCU, overflow, medical, and surgical floors to meet hospital needs
• May work a different unit every shift with flexibility expected
• Patient ratios: PCU 1:4 (may go to 1:5), Medical/Surgical 1:5 (may go to 1:6 rarely)
• Every other weekend requirement with minimum of 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Holiday expectations: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Overtime opportunities available
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 shifts of orientation on 3 different units plus general facility orientation
• 1-2 years experience required with proficiency in neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips
• Must have experience with cardizem, amio, and heparin drips
• Required certifications: BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Must be able to read/interpret EKG strips and pass ECG exam
• Required to titrate drips and work with equipment including CPAP and high flow oxygen
• Care for patients with stroke, chest pain, arrhythmias, post-surgical, sepsis, and respiratory failure
• Work with nurse aids at 1:8-11 ratios depending on unit
