American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position requiring 3 years of cardiac ICU experience and a CT or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a short-term acute care, Level I trauma center
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 on both days and nights
- High acuity cardiac ICU setting with patients requiring advanced cardiac care
- Shift schedule is night (4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00)
- Weekend shifts are required every other weekend
- Use of Epic for charting
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- Provide advanced cardiac care including monitoring and managing critically ill CVICU patients
- First-time travelers with qualifying experience are welcome to apply
- Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved; additional time off requires approval
- Required to work assigned holidays as necessary
- Professional attire or hospital-designated scrubs must be worn per unit requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license (pending license accepted if candidate applies before consideration)
- Minimum 3 years of cardiac ICU experience is required
- At least 1 year of Level I trauma center experience is required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Proficiency with Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring is required
- Flu vaccine required without exception
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption is granted
- Returning permanent staff must have a 2-year separation to be eligible as a traveler
- No local candidates within 75 miles accepted
