This position is for a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) providing nursing care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns at a healthcare facility in Spearfish, South Dakota. The role requires 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week duration with necessary certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NRP, and involves skills such as electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal assessment. The nurse must be experienced in L&D care, able to use Epic charting system, and may float to med/surg duties within scope of practice.

- Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility
- Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
- Patient Types:
- L&D, postpartum, Antepartum, Newborns, Infants <28 days old
- Level 2A Nursery – will care for sick babies
- Gyn-Surgicals/Mastectomy post-op – preferred experience – if candidate is not comfortable with these, other staff may be able to take
- Patient Ratios:
- Laboring: 1:2
- Couplets: 1:3-4
- Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Required Education:
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Skills required:
- EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills
- Charting System: Epic
- Floating Required:
- Med/surg – as helping hands/in the role of a CNA
- Could be floated within scope of practice and below
